GREEN CLUB

About

The Green Club is a joint initiative of the Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Maharashtra and UNICEF Maharashtra with technical support from YEWS. It was established on June 30, 2025 at Caliber College, Kalwa - Thane.

The formation of the Green Club is primarily to focus on activities that nurture an environmentally friendly approach and promote sustainability. Under this club, the aim is to empower students to participate in meaningful activities addressing environmental issues and practicable solutions.

Objectives

• To bring awareness in the students for being tomorrow’s citizens with environmental responsibility.
• To inculcate ethical obligation to protect the environment amongst the youth.
• To promote eco-friendly practices.
• To develop leadership qualities amongst students by letting them be a part of environment-related activities and campaigns.

Green Club Report 2025-26

The college has a lush green campus with gardens in front. There are two more quadrangles with different plants surrounded by the college building. The College Green Club takes initiative in activities to make the college a greener campus.

Waste Collection Drive

On 16th & 18th July 2025, student volunteers participated in collecting electronic waste from various departments of the college. They also kept a record of submissions and segregation.
